| Of number 12 and Turkeys! | ![]() |
A day before Christmas, both Akank and I listed out the number of Christian friends and people we knew that we want to wish. The keyboard tutor is a Christian and is due at class this evening. I wondered aloud if we should buy him a gift. Maybe a rum and raisin or a plum cake from the local bakery?
Akank helpfully suggested that maybe a turkey would be a good idea. I was surprised with the idea and asked her where she had learned about the turkey and its significance during Christmas. I should have guessed. Harry Potter, ofcourse. I always connected carved Turkeys for Thanksgiving but now I know better. She also added maybe we could gift him " twelve Christmas trees like Hagrid brings for the Great Hall in Harry Potter "
Until Akank mentioned it this morning, it did not occur to me that there was a significance to Number 12 in the Harry Potter books! And look what I found ( Click on the link to read)
Re reading the Harry Potter books was getting to me and I discouraged Akank from going back to read them over again. But now, I am not so sure. I enjoy it when Akank brings references from the Harry Potter books to things we do in our every day life.
I also read that the Christmas cake is also called the 12th night cake and that there are 12 tastes of Christmas !!

Some time ago, I needed to buy a building for my business but I didn't have enough cash and could not order something. Thank heaven my mate adviced to take the business loans from reliable creditors. Hence, I acted that and was satisfied with my financial loan.
