Akshara turns 2 this December. I have chosen the name "Twister for two reasons, one, she is like a tornado when she is not sleeping; and two, because of her gait. When she walks she tends to hold her hands together, the " twist" is very pronounced from behind! Adorable!

Jolie baby!Click to hide.

Akshara was gifted a doll in October, the name on the packing said "Jolie", so we call the doll Jolie Baby. Akshara is very attached to the doll, or should I say the doll is always attached to her !!

A typical day will begin by saying "Good morning Jolie baby, did you sleep well?"

Throughout the day, everyday, Akshara plays mom to Jolie. "Brush your teeth, sit here, wait a minute, listen to me, have your food, chew and eat" etc.

Akshara and I are off to Hyderabad today for 10 days. I have been telling her that we will be going for sometime now, but she did not seem to pay much attention. Yesterday on the way back from Daycare, I told we will be going by Coo-chook-chook (her definition of train) and she asked "Amma is Jolie baby coming?", I said "Yes", dare I say no!

The cascade of questions began "where will she sleep?, will you feed her in the train?, will I carry her or will you?......next time on, I am planning to buy a ticket for both of them!

Arthi,
You have to meet her to believe it! But most of her side of the conversation is in Telugu. She is picking up English now, but sticks only to questions! All questions have to be asked in English as a rule!
Wait till you see her!

I think training girls would be much easier - to brush, bath etc, because they would learn and teach in the process of teaching their dolls.

Wondering how to inculcate all this to my son!!
