| The big fall |  |
Mridu had a bad fall last Thursday. To the extent that her arm is now in a sling. Turned out to be a nasty fracture that needed surgery under anaesthesia to get corrected.
The past few days have been tough on us. We have been in and out of hospital. She has to be in a cast for the next 6 weeks (phew!!!, seems like such a long time).
She is being treated like a queen! Lots of visitors, lots of toys and sweets. Turns out that she realises everything. These days she wants me to rock her to sleep again!!! (and I thought I just said goodbye to rocking). I realise we need to be gentle and caring and at the same time firm about certain things. Isn't parenting a never ending learning process. You think you have crossed one hurdle and the next one is just round the corner!
She has a real cute bandage though. It has colourful teddy bears on it!

but, good thing is, experts say the bones are so soft and pliable at this age, they grow right back and perfect very soon.
