Here is one spot, I feel you kids shouldn't miss.
Season of Love
St. George’s Anglo Indian School (close to Pachayappa college)
Poonamallee High Road
Dates: from 20th of December 2007 and will be open for the next 7 days
Timing: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM
What do you get to see?
A 100 meter long cake, where they are planning to break the record.
A 65 foot long Christmas Tree
Apart from that you have 150 and odd stalls to keep your family busy. (toys, food and lots more)
The best part would be that you are spending quality time and money for your family.
BTW, here is are two cents if you want to commute. Don't think about taking your car, just pick up an auto rickshaw. You will save lot of time and energy.
Do enjoy with your family.

My Brat have been in the habit of making funny faces looking at the rear view mirror, holding it tight and jumping round the cabin. This time it was time for the mirror to give up.
I usually put him at the back seat, before I could get his school bag packed up, he turned naughty.
Moral of the story: Don't put your kids in the front seat of your car. Aditya are you reading this. This has some relevance to this post Moral of the story
Some pictures for your perusal
The doll's string was not of great help. Finally had to pull it out.

I would ask him about counting numbers.
What is 8 +7?
Aditya would start using his fingers to count the numbers and the answer as 9,10,11,12,13,14,15.
Now it was Aditya's turn to ask me the question.
Who can drive a car with out license?
I was like thinking what kind of question is this. His mother recently had been to driving school to obtain a driving license, and was wondering how could some one drive a car with a license and get caught. I told him no one could as they need a license to drive. He said "What about that uncle who drove our car in the hotel to park the car and what would say about that."

My wife and I looked at each other laughed over it and responded to Aditya. Oh, the valet parking.
We had been to Anjappar with his grandparents for lunch and the driver had parked the car. I told him he too needs the driving license as he is handling lot of cars.
I am amazed at the small details he has been picking from the places we have been moving around.

Aditya has been having fever from Saturday (only during evening), so we didn't leave him to play along with his friends. We all went to terrace and spent the evening over there, so that we could hear to his own stories.
Finally the best part of the story is "Moral of the story"
watch em, have fun.

This post has some relevance to this post
What ever you like you can't expect your kid to like it. Why?
If you want you kid to read the lessons, certainly you can't expect them to read them unless they like to.
I am about to share my own experience, which happened when I was doing my 8th Standard. I was dumb guy, more of spoilt brat.
It was exam time, my Mother would expect me to read my lessons, she would repeat the statements (exam is nearing, read your lessons or you will fail in the exams) from morning till evening or rather till I lifted my books (I said till I lifted the book, I didn't say I am reading my lessons
).
What I did?
I would keep my books open, when ever she is around, unwillingly read some few lines from the book.
There is some thing in my mind which didn't make me feel that learning my lessons are important.
What happened?
I failed that year. I didn't worry, I was not ashamed off. more or less had a thick, fat buffalo skin, I guess.
Good lesson I made that year. I didn't have any siblings. So the story reached to my native place. My cousin sisters came down to meet me. Initially they bragged about how they did in their school and finally got to the point, they made me realize that there is a heavier competition outside waiting for me.
We started writing letters and I kept them informed about how I was progressing in my class. When I reached my 10th standard, I started correcting their English grammar (the irony is that I still writes erroneous English grammar, even now)
What is the important thing?
You can teach some one, You can't make them learn, unless or until they are ready to learn from you (interest, passion, knowledge and so on). It is waste of time and effort to teach somebody who is not ready to learn.
So where is the correction need to be made?
Find what they are passionate about, let it be playing, let it be music or let it be video games etc.
Well, they keep on playing music, playing games etc, Where is the End?
You kid has to define the end and not you. You need to let them know the dire consequences. That is the only part which you need to play, If they don't read or learn. They will have to face reality on their own.
Take me as a sample. I failed in my 8th grade or didn't have the interest to learn during that time. Doesn't mean, I failed for ever.
Am I not working, Am I not earning, Am I not looking after my family. May be I didn't go to U.S nor would own a Merc in my life time. Big deal.
Some things are meant to be like that. You can't change things for some one or live their lives.
My Mother cannot learn my lessons which I had to learn. I need to have that heart to learn. What I felt was that, My Mother should have done things what my cousin sisters helped me in understanding Why learning is important.
Here is one more thing which I would like to communicate to a mother?
Stop nagging your kids. Here is one example, you keep nagging your kid and they don't listen. Father comes home, just one word things are just fine.I hope you got it.

One of best reality games built on flash, This has been a game you would have probably played in your classrooms, playground or at your sweet home.
- Amazing physics and wonderful reality. (few things are still missing like wind direction etc but that is ok)
- May be you could teach you kid on how to fly paper planes?
- What would be the best angle for the paper plane to reach longer distance.
- Best part is you could compete with your friends, send them mail invite and the scores should reflect.
Here is the link to the site
Any idea folks about the degree at which a paper plane should cover long distance (still wondering what I learnt from school should hold good)
Result is down below

Result:45 degrees
If you think, I am wrong please do comment. I am glad to learn from you.
